My sculpture journey started with clay.

Sawdust Firing in back yard, Clermont, Queensland, 1997, photos Jill Sampson
For a time I was sawdust firing bisque clay sculptures in my backyard in Clermont in a simply built brick kiln. The brick sides were built to the size needed, the sculptures and objects placed inside with sawdust and then covered and set alight.

Integration was commissioned as a corporate gift for an Australian Company that produced wire and is designed to reflect the coming together of the different areas of their business.
